Week 5: RAVE REVIEWS

As in this week, week 5, we have been studying 'rave reviews' now, in our blog, we have to look for a review on the internet and comment on it. That is to say, choose a review we like and remark or make notes on its structure. Besides, we have to comment on the language that has been used on it and the information that has been included on this precise review.

There we go!

First of all, I must say that there was an exact film that marked me for all my life. When you are a teenager, the usual thing is that you become a fan of something. My case was about High School Musical. I was the fan number one, I had the films, the CD's, the books... every single thing which was about HSM.

Therefore, I have chosen a theatre review of High School Musical. This review was realased in the NY times.

This review has several paragrapghs dealing with many different subjects. Thus, talking about the structure it has to be said that the introduction talks about a 'new religion'. In other words, HSM is introduced and also the sensations and the feelings it has awaken in the youngsters.

Then, a little comparison with the movie 'Grease' is made, as they both are musical films.
Later, the plot is explained and the main characters are also described, and after that, the author talks about the stage version, that is to say, the HSM theatre, doing a remarkable and funny comment on Troy's hairdo. At the end, items about the book version are presented and therefore commented.

The  language used in this review is quite informal and also funny to read. I think the author is in some cases giving his opinion, that is to say, the text is in some occasions a little bit subjective. However, the author describe the facts as they really are.

Coming to the end, I will say that this week I have been reading a book in English, hence I have tried to improve my English reading skills. It is called 'Wonder', like the film that was recently realased in cinemas. I really recommend this book, as well as the film. It's wonderful.
