Week 10: UNDER THE WEATHER WITH THE WEATHER

Climate Description:

Winters in Glasgow are usually cool for Scotland, with January daily temperatures of about 6.4°C and nights cooling off to 1.2°C in the coldest month. Summers are very warm, with daytime temperatures in July typically reaching 19.7°C and nights dipping to 11.4°C. Rainfall in Glasgow is typical, totalling 1079 mm in a typical year. Precipitation is distributed evenly, falling over about 167 days per year. Glasgow has average sunshine totals, with 1216 hours of sunshine recorded in a typical year.

This first graphic is about the rainfall in Murcia. It is easy to interpret this, as we all know it never rains. However, this graphic proves it as any percentage is higher than 10%

On the other hand, we have this graphic, which is about the rainfalls in Santiago de Compostela, the most rainy city in all Europe. As can be seen, percentages rise until 25%. The comparison of these two cities is easy as they are just the contrary. In this way, graphics can be much better appreciated.

Finally, I will tell what I have done this week to improve my English. But first, I have something to point. I want lo be sincere and the truth is that there is a moment in the process of learninga language, when you have already acquired a B2 level in the second language or even a higher level that, you feel fustrated because you feel that no advances are done! I mean, I get stuck with my vocabulary, I always use the same vocab and grammar structures and it is hard to make some progression once you're at that point.

Nevertheless, this week I have been translating some English articles into Spanish for a friend who needed it, and it was such a great time for me. I think it is also a good way of extending my vocabulary and knowing new idioms, chunks and more items.
